BREAK DETECTOR
It is used to detect cracks or breaks in blasting hole in U/G Mines.
Regulation require that no shot hole shall be charged if any break found in the hole. A break detector is made of copper and can check breaks of 3mm or more.
# CONS :-
It cannot detect cracks at the end of the hole. Therefore for safety, a clay cartridge is inserted in the hole before charging explosives.
